Oh, all RIGHT. Go visit her. See if I care. *sob*

A very good friend of mine for waaaaay too many years has started to blog.

I'm not actually sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I do know it will not be a boring thing.

Ladies and Gents, go read SheenaVision.

She's going to be moving to Toronto from Ottawa quite soon, so I know that many more opportunities to drink/eat/ridicule-others with her and her sig/other will soon be at hand. Ah patio weather, can you be far behind?

Horrible F1 Accident...

Well, at least SOMEBODY made quota this quarter end... ;-)

They just walked in with about $1500.00 worth of chicken and ribs from Swiss Chalet. Hey, that 1/4 chicken dinner with white meat isn't a bad way to spend your lunch, you know? The delivery guy must be happy with the tip... he's had a big shite-eating grin on his face as he bolted for his car.

In other news, the Quarter is going quite well... I think it's the first time I've actually seen my country manager dance a jig. I figure that it's 3 out of 5 outside reps that hit their number, with one guy having a half-million $ day yesterday. Not a bad gig if you can get it. Still and all, it's manna in the desert, after sooo many bad Quarters...

Tomorrow is Quiznos day. Toasted Tastes Better? Or if you haven't gotten to your number by then, prepare to get burned? Sour Grapes, if you ask me... ;-)

Ciao, bella...

Quarter Ends are always fun... not.

So, it seems like every Quarter-End is it's own special flavour of hell... however some are worse than others, and no one can argue that March 31st isn't the King. The Grand Poo-bah of Quarters End. That lovely time of year where you work 18 hour days, and endure endless badgering from the sales executives... is it in yet? Is it in yet? Is it in yet? Is it ... etc. Ad infinitum.

That being said, I have the dubious distinction (thank gawd) of having attained my quota early enough that I do not have to personally scramble for $... though I have team members that are certainly in that boat. Dubious in that I have three more months job security. Yay.

Anyways, that's why the posting has been a little light lately... It will pick up again in April.

The best thing about the quarter ending March 31, is that you are normally so busy, that the arrival of spring, sunlight and warm temperatures inevitably takes you by surprise. Holy crap, it's actually warm out. :-)

It's a great sadness about Blogging...

Eventually, you will give your blog out to everyone and his dog... and then you don't actually know who's lurking or not lurking... and then of course you are constrained by the bounds of civility from actually ranting about that person.

It's vexing. Very vexing indeed.

(No, not you Adam, Mike, Sheena, Greg, Karen, Bobby, Joe, or Suzzy [ok, those last three were ficticious, sue me]).

Ciao,

Missing the Point...

Another great one from The Gaping Void / Hugh McLeod... How many people have you dealt with that just seem to natter on so they can hear the sound of their own voice? Inevitably, they come out with the phrase, "I know that, but!!!..." Dumbasses.

I mean really, is it too much to ask for intelligent discourse on diverse and varied topics? Must people flog their pet dead-horse ad infinitum? Apparently it is... and they do.

Mood: vexed. ;-)
