The Grand Canyon

Stop three of my Epic Road Trip was the Grand Canyon... and I handn't expected to be overly impressed. I grew up in southern Alberta, quite close to Dinosaur Provincial Park, in the badlands; I knew what gorgeous landscape looked like already... :-)





Well, even though I was only able to spend an hour or so, I will be the first to admit that yes, the Grand Canyon is very... Grand. Awesome even. If you get the chance, go there.















The weather was not all that great; in fact, a blizzard blew in at the end and persuaded me to get back on the road and head out to Phoenix. But yeah, this is a place a person needs to visit for a full day. Maybe two.


Onwards to Phoenix... this cold and snow thing has got to end, now, damnit. ;-)

Epic Road-Trip Alert...

Heading out this sunday for an epic, never-before-tried (well, ok, tried by me) diagonal N. American Roadtrip.

Stage 1: Toronto to Indianapolis, Indiana (visit friends).

Stage 2: Indianapolis to Tulsa, OK (visit friends).

Stage 3: Tulsa to the Grand Canyon baby!

Stage 4: The Grand Canyon to Phoenix AZ (where some friends of mine are having a wedding).

Stage 5: Phoenix to Tuscson, AZ (airplane graveyard and a model shoot).

Stage 6: Tucson to somewhere in southern New Mexico.

Stage 7: NM to El Paso, TX.

Stage 8: El Paso to Austin, TX (friends, 6th Street, and a model shoot).

Stage 9: Austin to Dallas, TX (model shoot).

Stage 10: Dallas to Toronto, ON (no, not in one drive).

Hey, when else am I going to have the time to do this kinda trip? :)
